Neil Young & Crazy Horse
"Rust Never Sleeps"

Released: 1979
What a guy he is, Neil Young... One moment extremely tender, the next absolutely
furious. Musically, anyway... He's one of those singers who aren't really singers,
or so people say (same goes for Dylan), but I don't subscribe to that opinion.
What's important is the emotion behind the singing, be it tenderness or anger.
That's pretty much why I hate "real" singers like Mariah Carey or Whitney Houston.
They may have (traditionally speaking) good voices, but they're only showing off.
Anyway, almost any Neil Young album could've graced my list, but I've settled
for "Rust Never Sleeps" because it's such a perfect collection of songs. On one
of his concerts I've attended he performed just about every song off this album.
High quality stuff, indeed. And he plays guitar too, y'know.
Check out the live "sister" album "Live Rust". Or just about any other Neil
Young album.
