"Den vassa eggen"

Released: 1985
What is it that make "divorce albums" so good? There are a number of those around, recorded when
the artist's marriage is falling apart. And they tend to be very, very good. Could it be that the
sentiments are so strong that the singers actually sound like they mean what they're
singing? Well, probably. "Den vassa eggen" is a divorce album. It does suffer from a somewhat
out of date 1980s production, but I think that's perfectly alright for an album that
was recorded in the 1980s, right? The record is pretty painful, dealing with just about everything
connected to a divorce (I think . I've never gone through one). The feeling of hatred,
despair, the memories of better times, worry about the future, the kids etc. etc. He's really
pouring it out. And above everything - you guessed it! - the tunes are excellent.
