This album by Swede Bernt Staf is truly amazing. It's his début and he has never surpassed himself
despite a number of later releases. He's an extraordinary singer with an extraordinary voice, the
songs are tuneful and the lyrics are...well, far-out. Every word is audible, but it's not easy to
understand what he's really singing about. They're almost hallucinatory. Add to this a great
production and you have an incredibly "together" song-cycle.
The above album is available on CD in most record-stores and there's a low-budget collection of
songs from this and his second album around. That one's recommendable too.
