The Beatles
"Abbey Road"

Released: 1969
The Beatles swan-song (recorded after "Let It Be", but released before that album) is perhaps
their most "produced" effort. It's a wonder, really, how the group managed to make this very
optimistic-sounding record despite the fact that they were really fed up with each other. And
most certainly tired of being The Beatles too. It's a very summery album in spirit. To me anyway...
Even though I'm mainly a Lennon-fan and Lennon hated the medley on side two, I really like it.
The way the songs are intervowen with each other is pure genius and it's verrry powerful when
the medley comes to the climax, i.e. the guitar-solos just before it all ends with the fitting
words "and in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make..."
Don't miss "Rubber Soul", fer Chrissake!
